We’ve started to travel in the past couple of months to visit partners and raise the rest of the money in order for us to get back to PNG in January. In Iowa we were able to speak to First Baptist Ft. Madison. It was a great getting to share our experiences with them! We had a great response. We were also so blessed to be able to spend time with family while we were up there, and for all of the family to meet baby Rowen. Please pray for us as we are continuing to get hit by intense spiritual warfare during this process. God has confirmed so many times that He wants us to go back, but we continue to get hit with his flaming arrows. We head to Midland, Texas and Tucson, Arizona at the end of the week! Pray for safe travels and a smooth trip with the baby.
Where have we been?! I know its been way too long since our last post. I know you are just dying to hear what the Halfertys have been up to. Well we just got back from a trip to visit all of our grandparents and family in Iowa and Oklahoma. We started off in Iowa visiting all of Evan’s grandparents and aunts and uncles. We spoke at First Baptist Fort Madison and had a great time with Evan’s family!
After time there we were off to Oklahoma and saw Sarah’s grandparents in Tulsa, and then went down to Paul’s Valley and spoke at First Baptist Paul’s Valley. Sarah’s cousin, Kenny is the pastor at First Baptist Paul’s Valley and it was great to see him and the response from the church was amazing! Here are some photos…
Through this trip we raised 10% which brings our total to 90% of our monthly budget! We only have $395 left to raise, would you consider partnering with us?
This week we said goodbye to Evan’s truck he so affectionately named “Big Red”. We were able to sell it in just three short days thanks to the power of God. Then from that money we were able to purchase the trunks that we will need to pack up all of our stuff for shipping it in July. Things are starting to move fast!
Next week we will be going on a trip to Iowa and Oklahoma to visit family and speak at a church. We are excited to see everyone and hope that you will continue to pray for us and our travels!
