This weekend we had our Commissioning service at 121 Community Church. It was so great to know that our entire church is behind us; supporting us and praying for us as we go. We are so grateful for God’s provision over this year as he has provided everything we needed, even when we doubted Him. We are also grateful for the church, and how they have walked beside us throughout this entire time. So many people have spoken about how they are intrigued by how 121 operates, specifically through the “Sending Team”. A group of 20 people that have agreed to diligently meet every month and pray for us. As well as take care of our families while we are gone and send us monthly care packages.
The coolest part of the service, hands down was when Ross opened it up for an “Open Mic” time for everyone to share what they were grateful for, or what ways God has been working in their lives. Wow. It was powerful.
Missed it? Check out the service HERE.
We want to personally thank everyone who came to our fundraiser on Saturday! It was such an awesome time and God really showed up. Our prayer for the night was that God would show up and “Steal our Show” (a Toby Mac song) and he really, REALLY did. It was incredible how God worked through the people that came to our event, and even through strangers that were just watching from other tables! My favorite moment of the night was when a stranger, from another party came over and asked Diana Parker what was going on? She told him, and he proceeded to bid $1000 towards an auction item! We had never met before, he hardly knew what the event was for. But God had him placed right there at the right time and chose our event to speak to his heart. It was such a humbling and overwhelming experience for Evan and I. We are so excited to get to Papua New Guinea and to be able to tell everyone about what God has done. I hope that everyone that was there on Saturday will share about what God did, because it really was AMAZING.
A verse that was given to Jane Halferty (Evan’s mom) after the event…
Philippians 4:19-20 ” And my God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Here are some pictures from the night.

A HUGE thanks to David Parker and band for rocking it out! J. Gilligans didn’t know what hit them.
Another big thanks to Jonathan Hollon and our Sending Team for helping us make the night possible! We couldn’t of done it without them!
We purchased our tickets to go to PNG today! We could not have done it without your prayers and support. We could not ask for a better team than you.
We will be leaving from Dallas Airport August 5th. First we will fly to Los Angeles and we will then fly to Auckland, New Zealand and on to Cairns, Australia. We will be in Cairns for five days to rest and recuperate from jet lag. From Cairns we will fly to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and then on to our final destination, Madang, Papua New Guinea to begin training at our Pacific Orientation Course.
Please continue to pray for our visas, we are still waiting on them and have not heard an update on that. Also pray for us as we finish up our packing tonight and turn it in to the Dallas SIL Center tomorrow to be shipped to Waxhaw, North Carolina by July 10th.
Last weekend we got to go to Seattle to visit some of our best friends and participate in their wedding. Sarah photographed the entire event and Evan was one of the groomsmen. It was so fun getting to spend time with our friends on their special day and getting to tour around Seattle. Photos courtesy of Lindsey and Sarah’s cell phone!

June was such a whirlwind for us. We spent the month traveling and raising the rest of our money that I haven’t had a chance to post much on here! I wanted to share some pictures from our travels, and in 1 months time expect more! Pray for us as we close in on this time of packing and saying our goodbyes.
We were able to share this awesome trip with Sarah’s parents.
I couldn’t get enough of these mountains!
This is what it took to get that last shot of the beautiful sunset. Too many mosquitos!
See that little dot right there on the trail? Thats Sarah’s parents!

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for us during this process. We now have received 100% of our monthly budget pledged! Praise God for his faithfulness to provide!
We still have costs for various equipment that we need. Would you consider helping out with that by coming to our fundraising event, July 13? See Details Here.
