The Bunyards {Our Thanksgiving Family Photo}

Family, Photography, Oklahoma, Bunyard

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week with my Dad’s side of the family up in Oklahoma. We hadn’t gotten to get together for a holiday in a long time so it was great to share our Thanksgiving with them. We played games, shopped Black Friday sales and watched lots of football. My Grandpa also celebrated his 80th birthday with us. Here are a few of my favorites.

And the one who started it all, my Paw-Paw.

The Missionary House

God has once again blessed us more than we can imagine. How you ask? Well he has supplied a fully furnished-and by fully furnished I don’t just mean furniture I mean spices, food, pots, pans, shampoo, EVERYTHING we could possibly need or want-4 bedroom house that is specifically rented out to missionaries. WOW! We moved in last night and I have been unpacking our stuff (which we really don’t NEED here. Its crazy.) I’m thinking another yard sale is in our near future. Ha. We were so blessed by our friends and family for helping us move the still enormous amount of stuff that we have. We will be here for a little over 8 months as our suspected departure time will be around August 9th.

One more step closer to PNG!

Layla definitely approves of the huge backyard!

Adoption {Part 2}

Adoption, Ft. Worth, Court

Some of you remember the journey that these two have gone through with their adoption. Well its been 6 months and they are doing great! They had their court date last week and now they are officially Maxwell Hollon’s parents! It was such a exciting day, and I’m so happy to be able to have gone through this with them.

Everyone swearing to love Maxwell for the rest of his life.

{Sneak Peek} Two Hats

Last week Evan and I watched an amazing documentary about missionaries who live in Papua New Guinea. It really opened our eyes to what it is like to live there.¬†Two Hats is the award-winning documentary that gives a portrait of modern missions in Papua New Guinea. This film follows Brad Wells, his wife Deborah and their 7 kids as they minister to the people of New Guinea and run Bible FM – the country’s first Christian radio station. It is definitely an interesting film to watch to find out what kind of struggles we will face as we go there. To watch the full length film go HERE.
